That night...

"Yay! I'm so excited!" Gina exclaimed. She and her dad were on their way to their hometown to pick up Gina's mum. "Calm down, we're not set to arrive in another 4 hours." her dad, Mr Michael said amused by his daughter. " I know that dad, but I just can't wait to see mum, grandma, grandad and everyone of my cousins."
"I know that. But, I can't concentrate on my driving if you don't sit still."

Mr Michael and his daughter Gina decided to surprise Gina's mother, Mrs Michael who was on vacation in her hometown. It was already 6 o'clock in the evening when they set off from Kuching, it was going to be about a five hour drive for them.

Halfway there, the weather started getting nasty. Thunders were rumbling, there was lightning, and the rain was unbelievable. Nobody would be able to see a thing in that kind of weather, especially at night.
" Bad luck, I can't see a thing." Mr Michael said as he tried really hard to see where he was going. " Why don't you try your spotlight dad?" Mr Michael did as he was told. The problem was that it made it worse. "Oh no, it's making it worse."
"You know what? Why don't you help me look out for a shop or someplace for us to stop." continued Mr Michael.
"Yeah sure."

So, the father daughter carefully made their way through the pouring rain.

A few miles later,
"Dad, you just missed it!"
"What? I didn't see anything."
"Dad, it was back there."
"Looks like we are going to have to stop at the next place we find. This time though, make sure that  you warn me earlier ok?"

A few moments after that, Gina noticed something from the corner of her eyes.
"Dad, what was that?"
"I'm sure it was nothing. I mean it's dark."
" Yeah, I guess you're right."

But, in her heart, Gina knew that she just saw something.She just couldn't quite put her finger on just what it is.
So, she did as she was told and kept her opinions to herself.

"Dad, about a mile from here there is a rest stop."
"Great. We can finally have something to eat."

So, they found themselves stopping at Lacau. Thankfully for the both of them, the shops were still open at the time. Mr Michael was glad to just stretch his legs after the long drive. Gina on the other hand, well she was feeling a bit uneasy to say the least. Little did she know that she was going to feel more uneasy. Mr Michael bought food for the both of them.

"Gina, why are you not eating?"
"Um, maybe later? I'm just not hungry yet."
"Ok. I'll save some for you."
"Yeah."

And then it happened again.
"Dad! Did you see that?!"
"What?"
"I think I saw someone over there."
"Gina, there is nobody here except for us and the storekeeper."
"But, I just saw someone over there. I think the person was dressed in black or red I couldn't tell."
"Gina, please stop talking nonsense."
"But,I....."
"Stop it or you'll be grounded."

It was so frustrating that her father did not believe her. She wished that her father could have seen what she has seen. Oh no, there goes that feeling again. She just felt unsettled. It's like something was telling her not to go on with her journey.

Think before you act

Just another day...Carol always hated waking up in the morning. To her it was frustrating having to wake up that early in the morning. Then, there was school. On somedays it was great, over the moon as they say it. On other days, it was as miserable as hell. But, there was this one particular time that Carol knew she wouldn't forget. And it goes a little something like this...

Carol arrived at school early on a Monday morning. Same old routine at first. She puts her bag down in class then she heads down to the foyer to wait for her best friend,Riana. She always does a little light reading while waiting for her friend. So, there she was, reading her book and then suddenly,

Riana : Carol!!!!!!! (Riana screamed like a mad woman)

Carol :  Huh?

Riana : You won't believe what just happened! You know my bf?

Carol : Yeah, Alex.

Riana :Oh my gosh he just got a record deal with a local recording company!

Carol :Owh...That's great....   (really nothing else to say)

Riana :I'm going to be the girlfriend of a superstar!

Carol :Are you sure you can handle it?

Riana : What do you mean?

Carol : I mean,wouldn't it be hard for you guys to maintain a stable realtionship? You know, because of all the work he

            has to do? Plus, he'll probably get lots and lots of female attention.

Riana :I'm confident we will pull through. Besides he is the most charming guy in this whole school.

Carol : What ever you say...  (while reading her book)

Riana : Is it just me or does it seem like you are not taking this seriously?

Carol :It's not that, it's just, you know, I'm telling you what I think.

Riana :Well, I think you're wrong.

Carol : Whatever you say....

Riana : See? There you go again.

Carol : Riana, this is the way I talk... Ok, I don't see the problem with that.

Riana : The problem is my best friend does not take me seriously!

Carol : I do Riana! What's gotten into you?

Riana : Hold on, I know what this is all about! You're probably jealous tha I'm going to be the girlfriend of a future star.

             You're jealous because no boy in their right mind would give a second glance at you. I know I wouldn't look back

            at a chubby girl like you. Plus, I have the most good looking boyfriend on earth, maybe the entire universe! 

Carol :It's finally happened. You've finally lost your mind!

Riana :I'll tell you what I lost. Someone who I thought was my friend!

Carol : What are you talking about? Iam your friend I still am.

Riana : Well, from now on, you're not. I'm going to enjoy life with Alex while you sit here all alone by yourself.

Riana turns around and storms her way to the class.Leaving Carol all alone by herself thinking about a friend that she had just lost.

The First Date....

Josh :So, that was when I decided to play the guitar.
Serena: Cool. So, who actually taught you how to play?
Josh : Um, that would be the great Josh Shannon.

Serena giggled.

Serena : The 'GREAT' Josh Shannon?
Josh : Yeah, I mean, I taught myself how to play the guitar. Doesn't that categorize me in the great category?
Serena : Excuse me, I taught myself how to play the piano at the age of six.
Josh : Hmmm.... Good point. Ok, I'm less great.

They both smiled. Josh couldn't help thinking to himself how beautiful Serena looks as he took a sip of his milkshake.

Josh : Hey, I got to go to the little boys' room.
Serena: Yeah, sure go ahead.

Josh's face fell when he came back from the toilet. Serena was surrounded by a couple of  guys. He thought to himself, ' OMG, it's just like in my vision'. Suddenly, Serena spoke up. Luckily too, because Josh was about to walk away.

Serena : OK! Guys, back off! I'm here on a date with a guy I really like. So, SHOO!

She spotted Josh and made her way towards him.

Serena : Hey, can we go somewhere else?
Josh : Umm... Sure. You were... talking about me, right?

Serena just rolled her eyes and she thought,  'Boys...'

Should I or Should I not?

So, this story happens before the truth or dare thing. It tells you more about how Josh feels about himself and how he feels about Serena. Sorry for the arrangement :(

It was a sunny afternoon. Serena and Josh were at Josh's place. Serena wanted to borrow some of Josh's books which by the way is heaven for Josh. He can't begin to describe how much he loves this girl. Yes, loves, you heard right. They have been friends for about 6 years now, since Josh moved into town. But, unfortunately, Serena just sees Josh as her older brother (or so he thinks).

Serena: Thanks for the books Josh.
Josh : No problem.
Serena: Hey, I've got to go because I have my tuition class in a couple of hours, so? I'll see you later.
Josh : Yeah, sure.

Once the front door was closed however, Josh's father, Mr Tate spoke up from the corner where he was previously looking on.

Mr Tate : You know, you should really ask her out, you know, like out here?
Mr Tate gestured to the surrounding.

Josh scoffed.

Josh : Yeah right. That will never happen. She looks at me like an older brother. A strictly no date
         relationship.
Mr Tate : And how do you know that? You'll never know if you never try.
Josh : I know because I hang out with her all the time, dad.
Mr Tate: Look, could you at least try?
Josh : You know what? Thanks dad. I can see us on a date right now. Do you know how it ends, dad?
Mr Tate :No, I don't. How does it end?
Josh : Ok. Picture this, Serena and I  are on a date, let's say in a cafe.  We're talking, she laughs, pretends I'm
         funny, then suddenly, nature calls and I have to go to the gents room. I'm thinking how great our date is
        going and then I make my way back to our table and what do I see? Do you know what I see dad?
Mr Tate: No. But, I don't like where this is going.
Josh : Oh, it is going to get worse. I see her talking to a couple of guys. She looked so happy, laughing, and
          talking to the guys. Then, she gets up and leaves with them, forgetting all about me. Now, that is
         exactly what's going to happen.
Mr Tate : Oh come on! Be positive. I'm sure it will turn out differently.
Josh : Dad, I love you but, sometimes your happy go lucky attitude annoys me to death.
Mr Tate : "Whatever"

Mr Tate impersonates his son.

Mr Tate : Just curious, why do you picture it like that?
Josh : I don't know, dad. Isn't it obvious? She's a very beautiful girl. Anybody would kill to go on a date with
          her.

Mr Tate chuckled.

Josh : What?
Mr Tate : Nothing, it's just that you called her beautiful. She must be special for you to call her that.

Josh smiles to himself and says,

Josh : She sure is.
Mr Tate : Yeah well, think about what I just said. If your prediction does come true, than she does not
                deserve you.

With that, Mr Tate leaves his son in alone to his thoughts. Now it is up to Josh to decide....

Truth Or Dare

A group of teenagers were playing truth or dare. They are Joshua(Josh),Alex,Tasha and Serena. Little did they know that on this day, one of them will have their deepest secret revealed.

So it goes.....

Serena: Ok, Alex, truth or dare?
Alex   : Um, dare.
Serena: Ok, I dare you to kiss Tasha.

Alex looked at Tasha in a questioning way. She just shrugged. So, Alex dropped a quick kiss on Tasha's cheek.

Serena: Aww... So sweet.
Alex   : Yeah, whatever.
There was an evident blush on both of their cheeks.

Alex   : Let's go on shall we? Josh, truth or dare?
Josh   : Truth.
Alex   : If you could go on a date with anyone in our school, who would it be?

Josh looks like he just does not know what to say. His eyes were wide because he did not expect this at all.

Josh   : Look, can you ask me something else?
Alex   : No way! Answer the question.

Josh thinks about it for a little while. Then, he says,

Josh   : Can I just tell you? In private?
Alex  :  What? Why?
Josh  : Take it or leave it.
Alex  : Ok! Ok! Just tell me already.


Joshua cupped his hands and whispers something into Alex's ear. Alex then looks shocked and surprised.

Alex  : Dude, seriously?! You want to date...

Joshua quickly covers Alex's mouth with his hand.

Josh  : Don't tell anybody. Not even Serena and Tasha.


Seeing that something was being hidden from them, Tasha and Serena started to pressure Joshua and Alex into telling them the secret. Besides, girls do like to gossip. Tasha gave up after a while. Serena on the other hand, being determined as she was, would never give up. That is of course until Alex cut in.

Alex : You know what? If you guys are done playing, I think I'm going to head home.
Tasha: No, wait. Come on, let's get it on with. I don't want to be alone at home anyways. You two, could you please continue it later on please?

And so the game recommenced.

Tasha : Ok, Alex. Truth or dare?
Alex : Dare.
Tasha : Um, I dare you to tell your mum that you broke her favourite china the other day.
Alex : Oh come on! That's not fair!
Tasha : What is? It's a dare!

Alex looks defeated.

Alex : Fine. You win.

So, Tasha follows Alex home to make sure he actually did it and of course she could not miss seeing Alex get scolded by his mother.

Serena : So, want to continue?
Josh : Might as well. I have nothing better to do.
Skye : Truth or dare?
Josh : Dare.
Serena : I dare you, to tell the girl you like you want to date her.

Joshua thought about it long and hard. Then, he stood up and made his way towards Serena.

Josh :Serena, we have been friends since kindergarten . What I am about to say is not easy to hear but, I  
         don't think I can keep it in any longer and, you did dare me. Serena, I...I...I like you. Like a lot and a lot
         and a lot. I hope we could be more than friends?

Serena stares at him with big, wide eyes. The sound of Josh's voice snapped her out of it.

Josh : Serena, I wish you would say something.
Serena : You like me? A lot?
Josh : Yeah.
Serena : Then why are we not on our first date yet? It is part of the dare.

Josh grinned and said,

Josh : Hey, want to go grab lunch?
Serena : Absolutely.
